Political parties should tackle poverty

It may very well be too late, but at least it’s in the news: a poll by YouGov was commissioned by the new coalition GetFair.

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation had concluded last year that the public wasn’t aware of the poverty in Britain. This year’s poll shows ‘better’ results.

Are all the financial and legal victims we have come across statistically not significant? Is overindeptedness not covered by poverty?

Let’s give the GetFair coalition a chance! Niall Cooper the coordinator and manager of Debt on our Doorstep had been a speaker at a Forum meeting quite a few years ago…
