Finance and faith: what is it all for?

This article appeared in the FT on Dec. 23, 2008.

It quotes the Pope Benedict XVI, the Anglican archbishop fo York, the archbishop of Canterbury, a couple of Seventh Day Adventists, Friedrich Engels, Max Weber and R.H.Tawney, but also Jonathan Aitken, the Conservative former cabinet member, a professor of moral theology and Lord Mitchell, a successful entrepreneur, as well as the female chaplain in Docklands.

It is another article of another journalist who makes his living by writing about what is happening. But the moral dimension is at least being questioned or found to be omitted in what has been institutionalised as greed and casino capitalism.
