Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Muhammad Yunus has given up on institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and even governments. He says they are notoriously slow and encourages young people to start a ‘social business’ instead. Reading his book Creating a World without Poverty – Social Business and the Future of Capitalism re-energised me so much that I not only organised an event for him but also started a blog. As contributor I was joined by Dr. Lilly Evans who had not only helped with the event but also supports my attempts to attract funding for 3D Metrics, the software company that I started in 2004.
